South Austin Fun!

If you’re in the area and looking for something to do, you must go to South Congress (#SoCo). At 1610 there is an artist fair on 1st Thursdays with food trucks, live music, and tents with vendors and tons of cool local art/jewelry etc.

And if you’re not there on 1st Thursday, also on SoCo in that area are great shops and wonderful restaurants, including some of the best pizza on the planet at Home Slice. Catch live music at the Continental Club, a classic Austin hangout that hasn’t changed in 30 years; or Gueros courtyard during festivals.

The Austin Motel is right there – an affordable funky (good funky, not bad funky) Austin original that gives you a great feel for the city and the location can’t be beat. If you want a more posh experience, the San Jose Hotel is right there too.

Joe’s Coffee is next door and gives you a great vantage point for people watching any time of day. Lots more to do in Austin, but that’s my favorite part of the city. Enjoy!
